Our Missions

The family office sector in Greater China is witnessing rapid growth, riding on the convergence of secular trends including the success of independent wealth management, inter-generational wealth transfer, and private wealth as the new source of patient capital for global fund managers and growth companies.

China Family Office Research Institute (Hong Kong) (“ChinaFORI”) is the ambassadorial advocate for single- and multi-family offices in Greater China, and the bridge between the family office sector and regulators, governmental patrons, industry bodies, and value chain players such as private banks, trustees, tax advisors, and law firms.

Our Roles

Backed by inhouse research and a network of experts, ChinaFORI offers strategic counsel to global entrepreneurs in setting up the right structures and strategies for their family offices, and guides them to establish linkages with the financial eco-system in Hong Kong.

Leveraging strong ties with the Hong Kong Limited Partnership Fund Association (HKLPFA) and InvestHK, ChinaFORI champions this local fund regime as the preferred structural solution for Hong Kong Capital Investment Entrant Scheme (HKCIES) applicants, and accelerate the inflow of capital to fund innovations in Greater China.

With thought leadership in the External Asset Management (EAM) space, ChinaFORI informs and advises the private banking industry in Asia on the frontier thinking of UHNW clients and the fresh perspectives of their second generations.

By hosting events and sponsoring topical research, ChinaFORI also stimulates and steers discussions on investor education, ESG, philanthropy, women in business, and other issues impacting wealth owners and wealth managers.

Associate/ Senior Associate

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Research & Analysis:
Conduct in-depth market research, analysis, and reporting on family office trends, and regulatory developments affecting the Greater China region.

Relationship Building:
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including family office executives, service providers, and other professional organizations.

Membership Support:
Provide excellent support to current and prospective members, ensuring they receive timely responses, resources, and information about China FORI programs and services.

Communications & Marketing:
Contribute to the creation of marketing materials, newsletters, and social media content to enhance China FORI’s brand presence and member engagement.

Event Coordination:
Assist in planning and executing high-profile events, conferences, and seminars for family offices, including logistics, speaker coordination, and attendee management.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.

Experience:
3-8 years of experience in financial services, MNCs, or NGOs.

Skills:
Strong organizational and project management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin (Cantonese is a plus).

Attributes:
A proactive and detail-oriented mindset. Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative attitude.
